Next meeting:  June 18 at 6:00pm Tusculum City Park – picnic and fishing equipment swap

I. Old Business and Past Events

A. T-shirts with new logo were distributed to members – special thanks to Steve Ayers and John Kilday

B. Kids Fishing Day – 250 kids at event, $600 raised, pictures uploaded to website

C. May 2nd Erwin Nat’l Fish Hatchery friends mtg took place 

D. Earlier this year Cherokee Chptr provided $150 to help funding of Kids TU Camp – an additional $450 was also provided to help fund participation for veteran’s child. 

 

 
II. Discussions and Announcements

A. Church Camp at Dillard Ponds

Volunteers needed for Tuesday June 5th and Tuesday June 26th both days starting at 1pm.  There will be 15 to 20 kids.  Please contact Bob Ross at 423-638-1940.

B. Member Update

1. John and Mary Love ….Mary is undergoing cancer operation and treatment.

2. David Truesdale….David is recovering from heart surgery.

C. Nolichucky Watershed Alliance

Will Nissley updated the members on their activities for this summer.  On Saturday July 21st – Nolichucky Float Day is scheduled at 9:30am at the Davy Crockett State Park (take out at Kinser Bridge TN-Rt 107).  Free event for canoers and kayakers  – help to raise awareness.  (note: transportation, canoes and kayaks are not provided)  

D. Other

1. Next Erwin Nat’l Fish Hatchery friends mtg is scheduled for June 4th at 6pm RR Museum.  Goal of Freinds Group is to erect signs on SR 26 that informs travelers of the hatchery.

2. Jeremiah Honaker provided update on healing waters activities/tournaments/contests.
